The simple rules

Create freely. Sell clearly. Don’t upload what isn’t yours.

LM Stock is intentionally simpler than traditional stock marketplaces. Simpler does not mean permission to sell someone else’s work.

Clients and Artists

Every account starts as a Client account for browsing and licensing. People who want to submit work activate an Artist account, receive an Artist ID, and accept the current creator-rights agreement before publishing.

The creator promise

When you publish media, you confirm that you own it or have the rights needed to offer it. Do not upload stolen, pirated, deceptive, illegal, or otherwise prohibited material. Where a commercial use reasonably requires permission from recognizable people, private property, performers, or other rights holders, the Artist is responsible for having that permission.

Paid media

Artists choose the listing price. For standard paid sales, the marketplace split is 80% to the Artist and 20% to LM Stock, before third-party payment-processing fees. LM Stock may use Square or another disclosed payment provider to process the transaction and Artist payout.

Free media

Creators can choose to make media free. The simple requested attribution is “Media from LM Stock.” The listing clearly indicates when an asset is being offered free.

Licenses

A buyer receives access to the original only after LM Stock records a valid free or paid license. A preview is not the licensed master. A purchased license remains a record of the buyer’s authorized use.

Disputes, takedowns, and held funds

LM Stock may immediately hide or remove media when ownership, safety, legality, or rights are credibly disputed. Where legally permitted, unpaid balances may be held while a claim is reviewed and may be applied to refunds, chargebacks, legal obligations, or court-directed remedies. LM Stock does not promise automatic confiscation outside what applicable law and payment rules allow.

The mission

This isn’t your grandpa’s stock footage site. LM Stock exists to help Artists earn and to help real people in need. The live nonprofit percentage, allocated mission amount, recorded distributions, and impact stories are published on the LM Stock Mission page.

These are intentionally plain-language product terms. Formal production/legal review should happen before a wide commercial launch.
